MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Special Assistant to the President (OSAP) has condemned the recent killings in Rajah Buayan, Maguindanao del Sur, and has coordinated with local law enforcement agencies for a swift investigation, it said on Thursday.

The incident claimed the lives of three individuals, including a three-month-old baby.

“Rest assured that we in the national government remain committed to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens, as these acts of violence and impunity will not be tolerated,” OSAP’s statement read.

“We are already coordinating with local law enforcement agencies for an extensive and swift investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice, and to ensure that incidents like this never happen again,” it added.

The OSAP also said it would continue to work towards lasting peace and stability in the entire region.
