MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s net satisfaction rating fell by 13 points in the fourth quarter of 2024, according to a Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey released on Wednesday.

The survey, conducted from December 12 to 18, 2024, found that 51 percent of adult Filipinos were satisfied with Marcos’ performance as President, 16 percent were neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, and 32 percent were dissatisfied.

This resulted in a net satisfaction rating of +19, classified by the SWS as “moderate.”

“This is a 13-point decline from the ‘good’ +32 in September 2024,” the SWS said.

The net satisfaction rate is calculated by subtracting the percentage of dissatisfied individuals from the percentage of satisfied individuals, the SWS explained.

"This series is not just about the two teams playing; it's about reviving the spirit of hockey in Delhi. We hope this will inspire more young players from the region to take up the game," Harmanpreet stated in a press release issued by Hockey India.

Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey expressed his enthusiasm and stated: "This bilateral series against Germany will be a remarkable showcase of world-class hockey. Both India and Germany have a rich history in the sport, and this series will give fans an opportunity to witness an intense competition between two of the most formidable teams in the world.

Regional satisfaction

According to the SWS, Marcos’ net satisfaction rating was highest in Balance Luzon, where he scored a “good” +38, but it “hardly changed” from its September 2024 rating of “good” +39.

In Metro Manila, however, his rating dropped from a “good” +36 in September 2024 to a “moderate” +20 in December 2024, recording a 16-point decline.

Similarly, in the Visayasroyal panalo, his rating fell from +31 in September 2024 to a “moderate” +18 in December 2024, marking a 13-point drop.

Lastly, in Mindanao, his rating plunged 34 points, from +16 in September 2024 to a “poor” -18 in December 2024.

The SWS survey was conducted nationwide using face-to-face interviews of 2,160 adults aged 18 and above.

A total of 1,080 adults were from Balance Luzon or areas outside Metro Manila, while 360 were from Metro Manila, the Visayas, and Mindanao.

It had a ±2 percent sampling error margin for national percentages, ±3 percent in Balance Luzon, and ±5 percent each for Metro Manila, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
